Belt Problems

Last wednesday I got up for school and started my car and I heard something flopping around in my engine, so I turned it off and opened the hood and saw my belts were torn and another was pinched between the wheel and and engine.

So I got the changed.

and now today I was heading to school and i heard my new belts floppin again.

WTF is wrong?

it sounds like something isnt tensioned properly. You need to have the mechanic check the tensioners.

cost $150 to fix it.

Problem? the pulleys are actually 2 peices glued together, my glue wore away, and the pulley was separating and tearing my belts up.

Fixed.

So which pulley(s) are you talking about that are "glued" together. No pulleys are actually "glued" but I wondered just what part failed.
