Silvertop swap....

hi, i hvae been looking around and i have found a whole levin import with a 1.6 4age silvertop...

i wanted to find out how hard would it be to put that into my car?

keeping in mind that i have a 4efe!

also wanted to know what else i would need?

The engine is almost the exact same thing, If you got it from the same model as your car (ex AE101) then it will fit. you will however want to probably change the the levin transmission, you will need the ecu as well. Now im not sure but I think the exaust can remain untouched.

its not quite that easy i think...

i'm 99% sure the bid engine mount (under PS bottle) has to be modified, and possibly all the gearbox mounts (as the 4e-fe has the c150 and not sure on what the levin has, but they're diff)...

the custom wiring, exhaust modification, and not too sure on the spline-count on the CV's going into the levin box and the corolla hubs....


basically stick to the GT/glanza turbo idea, MUCH MUCH handier

if your car had came with an A series engine it would been alot easier swap not sayin it cant be done but you would have to change more stuff in ther because you have a 4efe so like what steelballz said it would be easier with the GT/ glanza idea or turbo starlet
