gen 7 Best shot I've ever got with my corolla

Use photoshop to enhance the picture, I also changed the colors of the background a bit, makes the car stand out more.

Pretty cool . The blurring certainly gives the impression of speed. Although it looks like you're asleep at the wheel!

yes my head was turned pretty funny in that shot, the blue was less intense in the background, but i figured i would make it a bit cooler, and thanks to a friend of mine that took the picture.. only took him like 5 tries!

these 2 are pretty good too, the car is kinda streched looking (like blurred) a bit in both, but i still like them.

New fav:

for some reason a cannot seem to get a good picture where you can see the body roll, these pictures for some reason don't look like there is any..

here is one with the Ghetto-Rigged camera mounted on the rear bumper (kinda)

The car got really blurry in this one, probably because the whole thing was vibrating, and the mount was not good enough to vibrate exactly with the car.. still got a pretty decent shot.

Funny Story: we mounted the camera, i took off, and went to slide with the e-brake, did it, but when we checked the picture.. we forgot to press self-timer, so it was just a picture of the car standing still, so we remembered and got a good one, though i almost took out the camera on a post.

only in the last one, thats why the rear wheels were not moving, but the other 3 i was just sliding, not exactly a drift, just me whipping the back of the car out and accelerating, looks like a drift for about a second or 2 but thats it lol

You can use a camera that has shutter priority, set it to shutter speed 1/15 and pan as the car passes. Use auto ISO if available and disable vibration reduction if available.

You don't need photoshop to achieve this effect, you can do it for realz

See Brian Petersen's "Understanding Shutter Speed" if you want more to learn more :

http://www.amazon.com/Understanding-Shutter-Speed-Low-Light-Photography/dp/0817463011/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1286898980&sr=8-1-spell

I searched "panning photography" (without quotes) on youtube and found a quick tutorial that seems to show how to do it with a point and shoot that has very few settings :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJcjz...eature=related

Photoshop is great but actually panning is fun

Cheers,
Craig
