Anyone use BG Coilovers?

The only purpose for them will be for lowering the car, never will they see track use so I'm nit concerned with their performance

my question honestly is directed at the build quality of them, I have Megan coilovers on my MR2 and as far a build quality goes theyre amazing, I've daily'd them for 3years put tons of miles on them and never had a single issue. I would love to get a set for the corolla but haven't saw them available so I'm assuming they don't make them for AE92-102 chassis, I'll have to check Megans website

anywho, if you have info on these coilovers or others in the 7-800$ range, as long as they have adjustable struts, post your thoughts

thanks everyone!

My friend bought these for his tercel about a month ago.

Some thoughts:
They are very stiff
They took a long time to ship
One of the mounting bolts on the top snapped with light torque
They make some sqeaky noises but nothing too bad

They are alright for the price i guess... my friend is still happy he just wanted them for the adjust-ability

Awsome response, thank you

Stiff is good, I daily on a full stiff strut an a 8k spring so "stiff" is normal for me

sqeaks can be addressed and from what it looked like they use OE style top hats so if it comes down to it i'd probably trade them out for Toyota top hats to ensure quality

do you know the company that he purchased them through? The set I found was on eBay an if it's the same I may try and did a different vendor

Thanks again for your info

FWIW, I had an 08 Mitsu Evo X that was sponsored by BG coilovers. I assume that they are a fairly new company as their primary designs were for BMW's, Audis, and the german euro cars.

I have had several sets of coilovers on previous cars, and in my opinion these were pretty decent. Most generic coilovers, you adjust the ride height on the two base perches of the strut. The BG coilovers make it so you adjust the height from the body while it has a locking perch on the top and bottom of the strut. Meaning that if you wanted to raise/lower the coilover, you would loosen the perches and twist the body clockwise or counterclockwise, rather than just loosening the perches on the bottom, and letting the car rest most of its weight mostly on the spring, rather than the spring/strut altogether.

They are fairly expensive, so if you find a good deal I would jump on it. I would compare them to Tein CS coilovers.

I stand corrected, indeed they were B&G coilovers.
