I would say there is a good chance the "jerking" causes the knock sensor to go off...but this will change the fuelling etc to stop pinking.
I would have a look at the engine mounts on the car first, these are actually a relatively common problem on the gen7, the front or back mount usually wears out...check that, it would cause excessive movement of the engine, setting off the knock sensor...and when that sensor creates a signal for the ecu, it will change the fuelling to get rid of the "knock" (actually just engine moving), and the underfuelling will cause jerking.
