How do I remove the ECU?

I took off the glove box and the panel that holds the glove box. I took off the lower console double DIN box. I can see the ECU. How do I get to its side to remove the holding brackets?

Any help (especially photos) appreciated.

Thanks.

ypu need to take out the console between the seats (armrest-2x 10mm bolte and 2 philips, otherwise 4 philips screws), then from description you have the lower dash fascia (with the ashtray and lighter remover and the double-din box removed)...

you need to take off the panel under the steering wheel (with the bonnet catch), this has 2 philips in the little box in the panel, a screw under the sill cover and a clip-thingey hidden from sight on the underside which you'll find soon enough lol.

then most of the lower dash is stripped, you nove onto the big curved piece that also goes around the gearstick...I think 4 philips screws if I remember right, and wiggle it out with the gearstick far back and the handbrake down...then the ecu is exposed, 2x 10mm bolts on the side and unplug it, job done

I have no pictures to add to the thread, but if you go by the description you'll see what I mean
