Corolla '96 ATF replacement

I have replaced transmission fluid on Toyota Corolla '96 which has 230500 mile on it. I did not let all the fluid get drained almost 3/4 of it then I have added 4 qrt red in an transmisssion fluid replacement article which normaly it is 3.3 qrt. Now I can hear knocking sound from transmission under neet of driver side. In the same day I had alignment adjustment and previously there was a leak close to axel but the mechanics could not detect the source this might be a transmission issue? If that's a case should I change the transmission fluid again to get rid of any metal residual or dirt?
Thanks

With mileage that high, I would want the metal pieces to stay there. It'll help your transmission from slipping. I've heard from a lot of people that it's better to leave your trans fluid if you have a high mileage car to keep your gears from slipping. Was it fine before you changed the fluids?

Thanks for reply. It had some delays shifting from 2 to 3 which I supposed to push the gas pedal more to shift. Yesterday I put some Lucas Transmission Repair fluid in transmission so far I could feel it shifts earlier and littile bit smooth. When I push the brake it lowers the gear with no issue but still I can hear knocking before car completly stops.
