Corolla ae101 1.6 engine swap to VW VR6 2.8 engine?

Hey,I have few questions.Is it possible to swap another car manufacture engine(like VR6) to Corolla?I want to do that,cus i love my car really much and i dont want to sell it,to buy new one.Engine is only to weak for me and i want something powerful.I have repaired my friend VR6 many times and i know how to change motor chain,pistons etc.So,what's you say?

vr6 is very underpowered for a 2.8
