4afe tear down pictures

Got a 4afe recently

i pulled and check the rod bearings bad and the crank damaged so i decide to tear it down to a screw lolz

Many parts where missing too

Bear head will be cleaned and ported and used in the future
Bear block will be cleaned,sprayed and use for a spare or build

It seems like a 1994 4afe engine 7rib block

Sorry everything is still a bit dirty i dont buy the gas oil or degreaser as yet

Damaged
16 valve buckets
number one and two pistons crack
crank shaft the rod spun it
number 4 rod gone

Block piston code 2232
Crank code 22222

This will be like my specs and reference block and parts when i need them
I saving very hard towards a corolla still......i love keep spares when i have the space in case

I soon put up more cleaner pictures


well a small history of this engine

4afe
jz injectors
4age 20v ecu and distributer Silvertop air flowmeter
4agze gearbox
16 rims
full teins

i was in a ae91 corolla with JZ injectors and a 4agze gearbox.....well i heard it had a great topend speed
then they switched to a 4age 20v 6 speed

due to the closer gears the overreving starts hhehe until it had a rod knock....

the spun rod i actually use a fine grit sandpaper rub down the inside and the lines disappear with minimum effort i think its good lolz


just the 2 broken pistons needs to be pressed out


i wish i could get some ARP bolts now for the rods

toyota bolts caused the problem why the motor is stripped down

The net says it better i throw out the block because it might flex already thats why the bearings damage
