Project idea introduction and some questions.
Hello, this is my first post here. First off, I have to confess that I'm really not a Toyota man. I'm a Geo man. For a few years I daily drove a 1993 Geo Prizm and it was the best $1000 I ever spent. I've since sold the car to a buddy and he started modding it. It sports an eBay I/H/E, and a set of Dropzone coilovers.
I guess I must have started something, because after this another friend picked up a 91 Prizm GSi, and then another friend picked up a 7AFE Prizm.
The GSi however, is in awful shape and my friend has offered to sell it to me CHEAP. What I would like to do, is swap over the 4AGE, suspension and brakes from the GSi to an AE101/102 Prizm.
I was given a ray of hope last night when I pulled off the GSi's strut brace from under the hood and it fit on my buddys 7afe car. Will I be as fortunate with the rear drums and sway bars?
Other than wiring, what other hurdles might I expect with this project?
Also on my buddies 7afe car, the rev limiter is literally like 5700rpms and it definately doesnt seem right. Any reason why that might be happening?
Thanks.
