97' Rolla. VIP RS3000 Alarm goes off by itself. Please Help!

Hi.
I have 1997 Corolla CE.
I am not sure if this is stock or aftermarket alarm which I bought this car already with.
I do have a separate manual and it states it is the VIP RS3000 Anti-Theft System.
I must say, this thing is either not properly wired or something is just not right.
I always had very minor issues with it, for example, sometimes it would not make any sound (chirp) when remotely arming/disarming, and other times it would make a sound, many times it would make extremely high pitched sound...
But could live with that.
Now to my issue, which I cannot live it by the way.
4 days ago, my alarm just went off by itself during the night. I thought it was just a random thing, so I disarmed it with the remote and went back to sleep. The same exact thing happened about 3 hours later. I knew this wasn't normal, so I had to manually push in the door locks and not arm the car with the alarm anymore/
Next day I took a look at the box under drivers seat, cleaned out the connectors and thought everything would be fine.
Same thing has happened every single night so far...
Neighbors are about to call the police on me I think
The weirdest thing is, that this only happens during the night...

I would appreciate very much if anyone here had any suggestions as to what I should do or where I should take this to repair ? Is it something that can be repaired even ?

Any response is much appreciated.

Thanks
Luke

You can disable most alarms by simply flicking a switch. There should be a button or toggle switch located somewhere under the dash or under the kick panel by the fusebox. Put your key in the ignition and turn it to the ON position, then within 5-seconds press and hold the button (or flick the switch) until the little flashing LED on your dash goes solid (it should chirp once too if it has a siren installed). This should override the system and disable it completely. Once you disable it, take it to an alarm shop, get them to remove the system entirely and install a decent one

thats a factory alarm, not an add-on aftermarket though. I've never seen a factory system with a disable button. some have a valet mode though.

Good point. Corollas over here don't come with factory alarm systems so I wasn't sure, and neither was the OP. I looked it up online and it is indeed a factory alarm, as you mentioned

In that case, you can put it into valet mode by pressing and releasing the top remote button three times. It'll chirp once and the lights will flash for 6-seconds. This will disable the alarm.

Here's the manual for that particular alarm system (see the 'programming and adjustments' section in particular) -

I've had issues with that alarm in my Corolla when the remote's batteries start getting low--it seems like it will trigger arm/disarm/panic randomly without button presses (or maybe my remote's just suffered from 14 years of life in pockets) but try changing the single 2032 battery and see if that helps at all.

Thanks All for the suggestions.
I did in fact replace the battery in remote and the problem persists.
I called an audio/alarms place and the mechanic told me he can remove my VIP RS3000 and install an aftermarket system for $180 including labor and warranty. The aftermarket is Code Alarm brand.
I guess that is what I will go with.
Thanks again

Your problem is likely in the security system ECU, I'd go to a junkyard and pull one... it solved the problem I had with my RS3000 and they won't charge much for it. This isn't uncommon, whatever genius at Toyota figured putting a computer under the front seat where all manner of nasty things end up is beyond me (I opened up my bad ECU and that thing was trashed). Aftermarket alarms are a bag of hurt in my opinion, but it's your choice.
