Are you having any issues since installing the CAI? The ECU should adjust to the new intake accordingly without being reset. However, to reset the ECU all you'd have to do is remove the cable from the negative battery terminal, or pull the 15A EFI fuse for at least 10-seconds with the ignition off (the fuse is found in the engine bay's fusebox).

No problem . Removing the negative cable from the battery terminal is the easiest way, but then you'd have to reprogram all your radio stations and bass settings etc on your head-unit. Here's a diagram of the fuse locations for the engine bay fuse box if you need it (the 4A-FE and 7A-FE fusebox is the one pictured in the middle and the EFI fuse is number 22) -

What kind of CAI did you put in? Big brand? I've tried eBay but can't find any CAIs there. Heck I can't find any CAIs for our years anywhere.

k&N makes filters for our year cars both OEM tray filters and CIA intakes but you can also do a DIY CAI yourself am sure ther a thread in the DIY thread located at the top of the forums below post your ae101/ae100 pics, have a looksee, and save some $$$ to do something else on your ride.

The member who made this thread might be referring to a short ram intake (SRI). They're marketed on eBay as a "cold air intake" so it causes confusion when people post on the forums. The only real way to get a CAI for our Corollas is to make your own (there was a company who made them but they went out of business a long time ago). It's simple to do and gives you the option to choose the size of the piping and where you want everything to sit.

Read post #6 of mine in this thread for detailed instructions on how to make your own:

New 94 Corolla 1.6 Owner Questions

There was also a DIY with pics made a month ago:

Kiwi-Corolla's CAI DIY on a USDM 7th Gen (56k tour France by bicycle)

With the info from the two threads, you'll be armed with all of the information you'll need to make your own CAI. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM

yeah the short ram air intakes didn't seem to be very effective because of its length, it would draw in hot air from the engine bay.

I've seen someone on here make a custom long CAI, but it required a little more work such as making a small hole in the left wheel well in order for the CAI to grab cold air.

Well that's a true CAI. You can get a ~CAI by just putting the filter as far forward as possible like behind the headlights.

I just purchase an K&N intake on my dealer and ask some assistance to my friend to install it to my Corolla. And now, I'm getting the benefits of it. Sounds great!
