no start after timing belt change
Hi guys
I just recently changed my timing belt because I thought it was damaged after I changed the crank pulley. I lined up all the timing marks in the cam and crank. I made sure that the distributor was pointing to the #1 cylinder when I placed timing belt. The car cranks but does not start. I checked the plug wires by placing a scewdriver in the wire. I did not see a spark but I did get electrocuted. So Im assuming there is power in the wires. Now I did make a mark in the crank sprocket with a marker. Is there any chance this is interfering with the crank positioning sensor and thats why its not firing? I broke my tbelt before and the crank positioning sensor was faulty hence we needed to replace it.
