SUCCESS T-belt change
So that noise i was having when in reverse ended up being my timing belt. the car had 190,340km on it when i did it today. Did it together with my mechanic friend who lives up the street. I ended up paying 81 for the t-belt and tensior(idler pully). Toyota parts would have been ~240. And i paid him 100+case of beer so i think i got a great deal. Was really excited when she fired up right away and when switching to reverse the vibration was gone.
The culprit ended up being my idler pully. When going to remove it, it was super lose. Like didn't even have to torque it to remove it just a press of a finger. Got lucky that it didn't come off entirly.
So if anyones got some vibration when in reverse and starts to carry over when turning left. Or when down shifting too the lower gears(on an auto). This is the problem, and it was very noticable besides it being the regular maintance interval. The noise could be heard behide the t-belt cover when in reverse.
Cheers
