97 corolla alarm

I replace my battery and now the alarm wont stop. I don't have the fob so I just cut the wire, but the flashers wont stop. any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forums! There should be a little button or switch located somewhere under the dash. Put your key in the ignition and turn it to the ON position, then within 5-seconds press and hold the button (or flick the switch) until the little flashing LED in your dash goes solid (it should chirp once too if it has a siren installed). This should override the system.

usually you can find a fuse holder in that birds nest of wires to disable the alarm box. Be REAL careful what wires you cut for something like that since you can easily disable your car completely.

hello im new to the forum...I removed a factory oem (toyota security) .system from a 1994 corolla the light mounted in the consol next to the coin holder by the brake lever it says security toyota .I removed all wiring hornes from under dash and under driver seat the brain box to the system and trunk wire and switch . i do not see a by pass switch in the system. do you no how this system works did it have a remote Thank Mark
