i just did survey on ebay and prolly im going to buy a cat back exhaust and exhaust headers by next month for my corolla 93..what i see from their description there, the headers outlet is 2" while the exhaust inlet is 2.5"..my question is, will the headers and exhaust connected? or i need to find another exhaust that exactly the same measurement with the header?
The headers are 2.25" I think. I have the OBX headers. They go to the catalytic converter, and the catback 2.5" piping starts after that. The the cat converter is where the diameter change is absorbed.
nope, its difficult here as i live in Brunei Darussalam..most of them are selling AE86 parts..i have to look on ebay for my parts but yeah some of it are not available shipping to my country..=(
btw, is 4AFE & 7AFE headers are same? cause i look through ebay, most of them selling 1.8L which is 7AFE headers while my AE101 are 4AFE 1.6L..
oww, thank you mate..btw is there any other website selling parts for corolla AE101?
What parts are you after?

The fitment of the 1.6L and 1.8L headers are the same, but the way the oxygen sensor mounts is different. Makes sure you check your current exhaust manifold to see if your oxygen sensor is the screw-in type or the two bolt flange type. If it's the screw-in type, get the 1.6L header, but if it's the flange type then get the 1.8L header . JVT makes a 1.6L header that is usually advertised on eBay.

and you can change the O2 sensor to fit whatever header you get!
Yeah, although it's cheaper just to get the right header to begin with. However, if they're replacing the oxygen sensor at the same time then it won't matter.

not to hijack this thread, but may I ask why toyota made our catback pipes hang so low? Same thing with the '90s Camrys. It just looks lame if you ask me why the pipe isn't tucked up?
Just a guess... the California model probably requires it for the warm up catalytic converter, and Toyota decided to save cost and use the same part on non California cars even though they don't need the extra length on the pipe. Just a guess though.

Yeah I know right? It sure is low! Especially when you have a huge exhaust. Well I think it looks kinda neat and exposed. I've actually got mine bolted together so it sits higher than otherwise (the tail pipe angles down some as a result)
