gen 7 new guy with a few ?

i just bought a 94 prizm 1.6l auto 114xxx miles runs like a dream. But i plan on doing a little work to it my driver is a 92 camaro. But i dont drive it in winter anyway for $200 i can put tunable springs, a strut bar, cold air intake, new computer chip, a header and a muffler. What type of gains should i expect ? I think base is around 100 hp i cant beleive how cheap parts are for this car. Thank you in advance open to suggestions where money would be better spent to squeeze a little more go out of her.

full tuneup, if there isnt any evidence of it being done already.

youll lose a lot of low end by doing cold air and headers, exhaust, not worth it in my opinion.

since its a daily, do tuneup, drop in a k&n, clean the t/b and upper intake manifold, pcv, coolant temp sensor, etc...

you can advance the timing about 3 degrees, by rotating the distributor forward if i recall...

Demonics advice makes much more sense than what you you have been led to believe would be good. Maintenance is best. The other stuff is total fluff.

+1 if your gonna keep the engine its all fluff, i only did the following ( CAI, header, 2.25 piping ,exhaust ) because am upgrading to a silvertop 20V with blacktop ECU and MAP sensor, upgraded cams ( TODA ) and tuned with eather GREEDY ULTIMATE or MEGASQUIRT, to get better gains but like demonics12 has said you will definately lose low end gain nothing at top end but gain a lil at midrage, also some of those computer chips dont do much for some cars.

Gains will be negligible.

Toyota ECU's are unchippable.
