cold vibration in '94 corolla

After I changed out the rack and pinion on my '94 I noticed a vibration when I started the motor up and can feel it on the road especially when I hit a dip in the road. After I park the car and it gets what I would call heat soak...the vibration is almost gone. Am I looking at a bad mount or is there a cold start running problem...The engine seems to be running fine and there is no "miss".

Do you think something underneath could be up against the engine, hence transferring the vibrations to the body instead of be absorbed by the rubber in the motor mounts? Also might explain why a bump in road is felt.

I had that same scenario when cold. It was my right side motor mount. Mine would actually be a metal clunking until it warmed up. I think it was more on turns and thought it was a strut issue.
