Anyone know an easy or correct way to change the bulb in a 96 front running lamp, i tried taking out the lamp assembly out but could not get it to come out.

you're just replacing the bulb? if so, just twist the plug at the back of the headlight housing counterclockwise and pull out! Push spring retainer and remove bulb. Reverse for install. No need to remove the entire headlight housing unless you're replacing the entire headlight housing.

Remove the screw from the corner light which goes into the headlight housing and then pull the corner light away from the front of the car. It might be hard to get out at first, but just keep pulling at it and it'll eventually pop out. Once out, simply turn the socket anticlockwise and you'll be able to replace the bulb.

It may be corroded in the socket enough that it wont push in and turn. Try using some penetrating lubricant and see if you can loosen it up. You may have to crush the bulb and deform the lamp base to get it loose.
