big one looks like its for an AFM, flap style.
the smaller looks familiar but I can't place it.

The smaller one is for the oxygen sensor. The bigger one looks like the one for the AFM (like Bitter said).

is it possible that someone may have a diagram of where all the hoses and vacuum hoses go?

thanks bro

also i have some question ive got my 20v started and running but it roughly idles from 1200 rpm to 3000 rpm and back and forth.

I currently dont have the o2 sensor on and there also isnt a downpipe on the header yet and the motor was backfiring and fire was coming from the header

what can i do to fix it?

first thing you should do is get your downpipe and o2 sensor sorted so that you know that it is all set up how its supposed to be
I'm guessing by the AFM plug that you have a silvertop rather than a blacktop??

check all your vacuum lines etc and make sure you dont have any vacuum leaks or lines that arent connected, a good way to check for vacuum leaks is with some sort of aerosol, like engine start, or a spray lubricant like CRC or WD40, spray it on your lines around joins etc and if there is a leak in that area the vacuum leak will suck what you have sprayed into the engine and this will raise the revs.

another thing you can do is clean out your idle speed control valve, it's found on at the back of the head under the throttles at the flywheel end. it has two large tubes coming off it, one going into the plenum and the other going into the throttle body manifold, this valve carbons up and can cause your car to idle high, if you can get to it and take it off and then clean it out with carb cleaner it too may help.

the vacuum hoses are on that link i put up,

if you want to have to press the clutch in to start the car i would use a clutch switch and a relay, does the clutch pedal you have have a switch on it??
if so find the wires off the switch, and find out if putting your foot on the clutch gives you a positive or negative output, chuck the relay in the starter wire from the ignition, like you would an alarm and use the clutch switch to switch the relay
