Recommendation of Windshielder Wiper Blades

Hello, I would like some advice on purchasing windshield wiper blades (as a X-mas present) for a 1995 Corolla.

First of all, because I am purchasing this as a gift, so I don't have the physical car in front of me to measure. Can anybody verify for me the dimensions: 20 inches on the driver side and 18 inches on the passenger side?

Secondly, I am having trouble distinguishing the different wiper style. Just from looking on the website from the store that I am hoping to purchase from:

Style - Beam (sample brand = Reflex)

• Flexible design conforms to windshields
• Resists ice and snow buildup
• Contoured design applies even pressure along the entire blade length
• Built-in aerodynamic spoiler significantly reduces drag, noise and wind lift
• Frameless design provides lasting protection against streaking
• Durable, rubber-encased structure increases wiper flexibility and adherence to the windshield in harsh conditions

Style - Beam (sample brand = ArmorAll™ Edge™)

• Same benefits of Beam (above)
• Not affected by sun exposure, UV and Ozone – which can cause normal “rubber” wiper blades to become stiff, tear and crack
• Remains flexible in extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for superior performance in all weather conditions
• Automatically applies “Hydrophobic” properties to the windshield with every wipe; water beads up repelling rain, sleet, ice and snow

Style - Winter Wiper Blade (sample brand = Motomaster® Winter Teflon®)
• Durable metal frame
• Rubber boot prevents ice and snow buildup
• Summer heat and sun may damage rubber boot

I am sure there are other brands / types as well, so any insight will be helpful. Thanks

I use Rain-X Latitudes. Its the Contoured blades similar to Bosch Icons.

I'm not impressed by any brand or style.

Pick the one with the best package if you're buying it for a gift.

Seems like every wiper I try is not that great on my corolla from low to higher end blades. The newer Bosch ones seem alright icons I think. All the rain x ones were no good and some other brands don't remember names were lousy.maybe my windshield is so old its creating the problems

I like the Rain-X ones better than the Bosch Icons. Have had them for over a year and still no streaks whatsoever.

for those, who use the Rain-X wipers, can they good for all the entire year or they just better for winter months with the snow and sleet?

We've had a couple snow falls here, and so far so good with the rain-x.

I live in Cali... when we have rain they work well and stand up to the heat during summer..

+1. Have not had to take my car to snow country so can't speak for how well the Rain-X wiper blades do with snow.

Since you're in Canada, run to a local Zellers and pick up a set of Valvoline Aquablades.

They're frameless just like the Bosch Icons but the difference is that they're only $10 each once they go on sale.

My set is still going on perfectly after 2 years. Best wipers on the cheap ever.
