Got my 1993 Wagon Home

Picked up my 1993 Wagon today. Its been sitting for a while. 220k on it. Interior is dirty as it was being used for storage. Paint has moss and really dirty from sitting. Only 2 rust spots. Fired right up with a fresh battery. It did get moved once a year to keep the motor lubricated. Last year it got new front pads and rotor due to a low brake pedal, but it still has a low pedal. Brake fluid is good though so I don't think it leaks. Might be a bad master cylinder? Or air in the lines?

I got one picture from my cell, and will keep updated posts as I tare into it.

if the pedal comes up on a second or third pedal push, its air.

After that, adjust your rear brakes.

Changed the oil today, along with, valve cover gasket, air filter, coolant, spark plugs, adj rear brakes, bled the brakes all but one. All the bleeders opened up fine except the pass front witch sheird off. Got some air out of the rears and the pedal came up a bit.

Update: Replaced both front calipers, rear drums, master cylinder, and still have a low brake pedal. There is no air in the system. The pedal isnt spongy its just very low. On the plus side I fitted my 17" Tenzo r's Last night. 205/40/17 They were fun mounting.

Brake pedal is low because it has to use more stroke to take up "slop" in brake components.

I had the same thing until I fitted the rear shoes better. Pedal still sits high after 15k miles.

Go find the thread if you need some tips.

I have followed your thread, removed the high spots which took a while, installed new drums cleaned and adj the hardware and pads back up to where they should be.
