Rear Brake and Headlight Question.

Hey Nation,

I'm having a few small issues with my car I'd like to correct. Lets start with the headlights. My headlights barely project. They shine bright, but I can't see too far or too wide. Any suggestions on better bulbs? And my rear passenger brake, it squeals pretty loud when I reverse off the drive way, it happens more when it's cold. I had the shoes replaced about year ago, only the passenger side squeals and mostly when Im in reverse, any idea what could be causing this? One more thing, this started yesterday, twice I've tried making a regular right turn and my steering wheel is super tight, it feels like it's locking up, I really have to pull it to turn. It's only happend twice, I've made numerous left turns and right turns no problem. What could be causing it? Any help is much appreciated, thanks guys.

the squeling could be because of handbrake cables staying on...
jack the car up, let go off handbrake and try spinning that back wheel...

Either your parking brake is sticking, the side is out of adjustment or if the pads are old, the pad material could have broken loose and jam on the other pad material when in reverse. Pull it apart and and inspect it, replace parts if needed. As far as the steering goes, if the engine was cold when it happened, you might just be a little low on power steering fluid and once the fluid warms up, it expands and brings the system back up to pressure.

Excessive dust trapped insice the brake drums is the most likely culprit for the noisy rear brakes.
