How to change license plate light blub?

I bought some new light blubs for my 1996 corolla and I can't figure out how to get to the blub sockets for my license plate light. I been searching for instructions, but most of them are for license plates mounted on the trunk lid, not the bumper. Does anyone have experience changing a 7th gen corolla license plate blub?

use a flat head driver and look up inside, you pull one side out at a time and it drops out.

Welcome to the forums! As mentioned above, press in the tab with a small flathead screwdriver and pull the housing down towards you. Once it's out, simply twist the bulb holder anticlockwise and you'll be able to remove the bulb.
