Fuse for instrument panel light?

Hi,

The instrument panel light of my 1993 Corolla no longer works. I looked for the fuse but could not find it. Is there a fuse for it? If so, where is it located and how is it labeled? Beyond fuse, how hard is it to fix it for a non-mechanic? Thanks!

The fuse for the instrument panel lights is shown as #2 (TAIL 15 A) in this fusebox diagram which was scanned from my factory owner's manual:

If you check the fuse and it looks ok, then it could be a problem with the dimmer rheostat if you have one (the dimmer switch underneath the driver's side vent). If this fails then it will cause your instrument panel lights to not illuminate.
