1993 geo prizm wont start

We have a 93 Geo Prizm, 1.6 motor. Two nights ago my husband changes the ignition because the car would crank but not start. The car started just fine. The next morning we went to turn it on and the samething happened again, so he took out the battery and charged it all day. Last night he put the battery back on and once again it started with no problem. This morning we went to start the car and it did not want to start. What could this be?

Why did you have charge the battery?? Did it die from cranking the engine or from sitting.

Could be unrelated problem, like fuel pump or fuel pump relay.

We could play guessing games all day but to really know you have to perform the diagnostics. Check fuel pressure and spark.
