Assuming you just want to paint the intake plenum and not the complete intake manifold, you'll first have to remove the throttle body. To remove the throttle body, start by removing the air intake hose (it's only held on by a clamp). Disconnect the TPS sensor and ISC valve electrical connectors, and then disconnect the coolant hoses by depressing the hose clamps with a pair of pliers (block the hoses or position them so that they stay upright to prevent any fluid loss. Would pay to label them '1' and '2' as well, so you know which one goes where during re-installation).

Push the throttle lever open by hand so that the cable becomes slack and slip the cable out of the butterfly. If you have an automatic transmission, also pull on the inner kickdown cable and disconnect it from the throttle lever. Then undo the retaining bolts and remove the kickdown outer cable retaining bracket from the throttle body.

Now it's time to remove the actual throttle body. There will be two long bolts and two nuts holding it on. Remove these, then remove the throttle body support bracket retaining bolts. The throttle body will now slide right off.

Once the throttle body is out, you can remove the intake plenum. This is the easy part. Remove the three Allen key bolts and the two nuts on the bottom of the plenum and pull off the vacuum hoses. After that it will simply come off by pulling it upwards. The gaskets are metal and reusable if they're still in good condition.
