Maybe Mubarak has a vehicular killswitch?

Anyway seriously I'm thinking maybe vehicle speed sensor, throttle position sensor, idle control valve, etc. Probably has to do with a sensor or valve, something in the vacuum system.

Also I had a Sentra with a pod filter and it would get loose from time to time and when it would get loose the car would shut down when I would come to a stop.

The first thing I'd check is the battery terminals. It may sound silly, but it's always best to rule out the easiest things first. Make sure that they're tight and that there's no corrosion on the battery posts. If everything looks ok in that regard, then check the brake booster hose for any cracks or splits.
