Great... leaking oil!

So I drove off my driveway to see that my 7th gen is leaking oil!

Has about 150,000 miles and it seems like it coming from around the passenger side, my best guess is that it might be coming from the distributor or oil pump area.

Does anyone know common oil leakage spots for the 7th gen? I'd like to do an inspection before going the dye/UV route.

Nothing is "common." Clean off your engine and see where its leaking.

passenger side would definitely not be the distributor, but possibly the oil pump. But again, enough guessing, clean it off and go from there.

What year is it? Is it a sedan or wagon?

Passenger side - first I'd think about oil seal, oil pan, or maybe even valve cover.

Never underestimate your oil filter....
the rubber gasket or seal around the lip could have failed,
or the filter could be too loose.

Yeah... I was thinking the oil seal, I don't think it's the oil pan though. It's going to be a pain trying to find out where its coming from

i would go to the auto parts store and buy a big bottle of engine degreaser and head to the car wash. spray that joker down with the degreaser and let is sit there for a couple minutes and the pressure wash it. then, keep an eye on it from there. youre bound to find the leak now..... or put some uv dye in it. thats where i would at least start
