Bosch O2 Sensors

Hey all.

I have a '97 Corolla base (actually, a Geo Prism base) that is throwing O2-related codes at me. Being fond of Bosch components, I'd like to use their sensors. Their website lists several versions of the pre- and post-cat sensors.
http://www.boschautoparts.com/Vehicl...=OxygenSensors

For the pre-cat unheated sensors, one is listed as OE type exact fit #12208; the other is listed as OE SmartLink - Universal Fit #12211.

For the post-cat 4-wire sensors, there are three types:
  • OE SmartLink - Universal Fit Check / Replace Interval: 100,000 Miles #15733
  • OE Type - Alternate Fit Check / Replace Interval: 100,000 Miles #13489
  • OE Type - Exact Fit Check / Replace Interval: 100,000 Miles #13056
Any recommendations or additional info on these? Any brand preferences?

Thanks!

Denso Direct Fit, the car came with Denso sensors as OEM and they are what should be used.

Okay. Where can I find a guide that lists the proper part number for each sensor?

Save sone money at first and remove the sensor and wire brush it. Deposits coat the sensor and reduce its efficiency. This tip has served me well over the years. If it still throws the code you have an easy replacement since it wont be seized to the pipe like it was to begin with. While Bosch spark plugs are crap I havent had any trouble with their O2 sensors, however I will agree that quality of Denso or NTK would be a better choice.

The difference between the two is the connector end. If you're cheap and smart you can attach the stock connector to the "universal" sensor.

the bosch upstream 12208 sensor looks nothing like the OEM one. i bought it 2 months ago from rockauto, and i sent it back. the replacement intervals that bosch reommends are fine, but seriously man, get a denso sensor. i bought mine at rockauto for $45. that's so effing cheap it ought ta be a crime. the part number is 234-2003 for upstream sensor. bosch spark plugs however i have all praise for. i put the platiinum +4 plugs in my 95 with NGK wires and BWD cap.
