95 corolla late shifting????

Hey guys, i have a 95 corolla (auto trans) and recently done the water pump and timing belt. All went well there, but since i done that whenever i drive it it shifts extremely late when at wot, and seems to be using much more gas. It seems that i have disturbed something when i removed the starter, the throttle linkage seems to be alright, could this be a sensor problem or computer problem, thanks to all in advance

at full throttle it should shift just before 6000 RPM, around 5500-5800 RPM.

today after i messed with the adjustments and checked the tps and vss sensor (unable to test vss) i went for a drive around the block and it was fine but before i got it home it went back to the way it was before not shifting at wot, i had left the key on all night and had to jump start the car also. do yall think this is a sensor, ecm problem or the tv cable possible hanging up??

not sure it is a particular gear, what happens is when i floor it, at any speed, it will down shift and rev up like normal but it will not up shift till i let of the accelerator a bit, most of the time when i rev it i let off for fear of it tearing up the motor, i don't have a tach so i dont know what rpms it gets to but its over revving bad.

also i arced the starter to the car when doing all the original work, this is the reason i have been checking all the electrical. This was my first timing belt and has been quite a pain. also, i had messed with the tv cable all day and im pretty sure that this is not the problem, what do yall think? Thanks for all your continued replies.

it could be the TV cable. it should be pretty slack, tight makes it shift later, too slack makes it shift too soon. It should only be tight when the throttle is wide open.
