shocks/struts recommandations

my 97 corolla w/ 166000 miles gets really bouncy between 35-70MPH. I was wondering what shocks/struts you guys would recommand? I was looking at KYB GR2 shocks/struts. Also should I be replacing the springs too?

I got tokico blues paired with H&R springs. My wife's corolla has KYB GR-2s with stock springs. Personally I like Tokicos better than KYBs.

I have GR-2's and they are fine for the kind of driving I do. Some people don't like them, though.

IMO don't worry about the springs, but do yourself a favor and replace the mounts when you do the struts.

GR2's are a great value for the money. Also can sometimes find bilsteins online cheap. Great strut as well.

No complaints with Tokico blues and Eibach Pro-Kit springs. Ride (with 17s) is involving but not too harsh unless it's over really shredded pavement.

if you want to continue a more of comfort ride then go for the GR2's and change the mounts and stick with the stock springs like azcorolla mentioned above, but if your goin do a little lowering and more handling then struts like TOKICO HP and similar struts will be a good choice if your goin go with lowering springs combanition

Do GR-2 and Tokico HP work well on a 2006-2007 Corolla CE?

Sure do. Get the HP's if you plan on lowering your car though.

Has anyone used the struts that Autozone sells or have an opinion on them? They sell for about 65 each.

The autozone ones are going to work with stock springs. You'll need a better shock to handle lowering. KYB GR-2s and Tein S-Techs for me
