LOL...
Not calculating the right way, but if I reset my odo everytime I fill up, I am usually at around 200 miles when the fuel gauge needle is at half tank mark.
The gauge is designed so that when you're out of fuel it's below the E (at the E/low fuel light you have 3 gallons). Keeping this in mind, actual "half a tank" is a little below the marker, but I typically have 190 miles, +/- 10 gallons when I have around 6.5 left in the tank (13.2 gallon tank). At the marker it can range anywhere from 150-170, but it's pretty consistent as to the amount of fuel in it once it's a little below that market.
man i can hardly get 160 on half tank
the total i might get is around 220 miles on full tank
i definitely need some advices on how to improve my gas mileage
help please
Maybe clean your intake manifold, make sure the air filter is clean, etc. Also, I shift at 2500 rpms, never ever rarely more than 3000 rpms. Or, just keep your lead foot off the gas pedal ahaha
When my car shows a half tank, its usually gone about 200 miles or so.
That would be about right for me. I saw at least one comment above about a 13+ gallon tank? I've only had this 95 Prizm for a couple of months, but have run it to E on a few occasions (no low fuel light) and have never put in more than 10.2 or 10.3 gallons. I assume the fuel tank must be less than 11 gallons.
Fuel tank is 50L (assuming the Prizm has the same tank), which is ~13 US gallons. You still have a good 10L (~2.5 gallons) left when the low fuel light comes on. Most I've ever run my tank dry is 46L, and that was just starting to experience fuel surge/cut around tight corners and roundabouts

I don't believe my Prizm has a low fuel light. I ran it plumb below the guage today and only put in 10 3/4 gallons. It may have a couple more gallons there, but I'm not counting on it.

I have to run pretty much below E before the light comes on. You should easily be able to see the oval of the low-fuel light on the fuel gauge too (if you have the small gauge) even if it isn't lit up - I think the big fuel-gauge clusters have a different light though.

27-28mpg in Wisconsin winters.
30-33mpg in Wisconsin summers.
I think I go 150-160 miles at half. When I fill up after the neddle hitting E the first time I usually have to add 10-11 gallons at the pump.
My 1994 Prizm does not have a low fuel light either.GM wanted to save a cent or two by cutting that unnecessary expense. Gas was dirt cheap back then of course.
