gen 7 Cheap Mods?

I have a dead stock US AE101 (other than an aftermarket stereo I put in last weekend) and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for mods I could do on the cheap (about $30ish or less) to the car. I'm not really looking for performance mods, just something cosmetic to make the car more unique.
any suggestions?
Thanks

Paint the front and rear bumper lips. They're black from factory, so it's sort of like a free front lip when you paint it the same colour as your car. Maybe you could even tint your own windows.

Debadge the trunk and just leave the Toyota emblem. Cost: $2 if that for fishing wires and a hairdryer.

The thing is, I don't really want to do something that isn't reversible. I want something that is bolt on and I can put back the original part once i'm done. Right now, i'm thinking some time I'll go to a pick n pull and grab a garnish and grille or something and mod it.

Thanks for the tip! Quick question - do you know If US spec corollas had the trunk garnish that you have on your car? Any Ideas on where to get one? It looks awesome - I just have the gray plastic garnish. Or would that be out of my price range? Also, what about JDM grilles? Could I get those under $30?

Would there be a difference in color where the badges used to be?

you mean an AE102... AE101 = coupe which never made it to the US.

Get lowering springs and decent wheels... these cars look good as they are, they don't need any "rice" added.

AE101 = 1.6, no matter the body shape, AE102 = 1.8 (ditto body shapes).

Yep, the US spec LE model Corolla came with the same trunk garnish as mine. You might be able to find one at a junkyard or local wrecker. As for the JDM grille, I usually sell them for $100 NZD ($78 USD) + shipping. You might be able to find one cheaper, but getting one for under $30 USD is a bit of an ask

Unless your car's paint is really faded, there shouldn't be a difference. Leave car under the sun, use a blowdryer or heatgun on the emblems (don't burn the paint), push the emblems and if they move, then use a fishing string and start flossing. Then, use your fingernails to pick the rest off and use some goo-off spray.

I don't know Rollas but I think the body trim on the bottom of the front bumper is kind of neat and should be cheap. There are a couple of threads on here somewhere on it.

Is that a DIY job or something I would take to a bodyshop?

I think you're right about not ricing my corolla... but wheels and lowering springs are kinda out of my budget right now

All these years, i thought I had a 1.6, but i checked my VIN badge today and it turns out I do have a AE102 all these years I had extra HP without even knowing it

Awesome! I guess i'll look around for a garnish like that. $80 is kinda out of my price range, maybe eventually...
Thanks!

It is most definitely something you can do on your own. Here is one of the threads on it I was thinking of DIY Home Depot Lip splitter

I think there are several so search around for more if you want.
