gen 7 Crank shaft pulley/ Harmonic balancer

For the past few weeks i noticed that my car makes *tuk tuk tuk* noise when idleing. I thought it must me the under cover since its broken but i fixed that yesterday and heard the noise again. Looking closely i noticed that the crank shaft pulley was the only vibrating component when the noise came, and noticed that few threads on the alternator belt were ripping (even though belt is only few months old). could it be that i left the crankshaft pulley bolt loose (torqued it at 90lb/ft with an electric impact gun) when i changed the timing belt 5000 km before?

it could have come loose but some cars have separation problems with HB. If the bolt is tight and the pulley is loose you found the problem.

but if the HB is separated, wouldn't there be vibration in engine? The care idles smooth, i am also guessing i put on the belts too tight, first i am going to try to losen a bit.

Just found out that the crank shaft puley bolt came loose, but i didn't notice it soon enough and when i tried to remove the loose bolt, it broke. Now i am just waiting to get a new one from dealer. HB is perfectly good. Thanks for your help.

It didn't break into the crankshaft did it? The head just broke off and the threads turned out?

yes, most of the bolt came out with the head and only tiny bit thread was left inside. I drilled it took it out with an extractor.
