Question Recommended Oversized Spin-On Oil Filters for 7A-FE

I've heard that the oil filter from 80 series Land Cruiser (1FZ-FE 4.5L I6) may fit on a 7A-FE engine. It's a Wix 51515/ Mann ML 1004/ Donaldson P550008/ Fram XG8A/ Bosch 3500/ Purolator (P)L30001.

I've been thinking about putting on the Donaldson P169071 (w/ SynTeq media) but have some concerns. Will the outer diameter of the gasket, length/clearance, and the burst pressure [of the bigger filter] pose significant problems?

FYI, I'm running a Mann ML 1009 and Shell Rotella T6 5w-40. Sorry about beating a dead horse but I wanted to know if other oil filters are comparable.

Ive been running the toyota d filters for a while on a 1zz and on the 7af. I just was more concerned about how close the filter gets to the manifold and the heat to the filter on the 7af.

Could you please specify the "d filters" if you don't mind? I actually looked at the Purolator L30001 and compared it to the stock filter, L14476. Judging by the gasket's diameter on the L30001, it would seem that the gasket is too wide for the base on the 7A-FE engine. It seems that the safe way to go is to get the P14477 filter as it is about 0.5" longer than stock. It'll take awhile to find the right over-sized filter due to the amount of time I have on my hands. I'm just wondering if any other owners have tried other sizes (that's not what she said).

Purolator 14477 would work. Also 90915-YZZF1 or 90915-10004 if you can find.
