Alright, I have returned to the Corolla fold. This is my third Corolla, two previous were a 1993 AE101 Geo Prizm and a 1990 AE92 Corolla DX. The other two were 5 speed and with a little time this one will be as well. 96,xxx original miles, one elderly owner, all service records from purchase on, clean carfax. Just alot of sun fade on the paint and interior. Don't mind the seat and steering wheel cover, I'm a tire tech and have a car worth attempting to keep clean lol. Air intake installed last night after only 150 miles of owning it...

Your head lamps look really fogged... I've had good luck with Turtle Wax's kit in removing it. Also, the three speed is interesting. It's torturous to dry on hilly roads, but you'll eventually get a feel for how you want to manipulate the throttle to get it to shift up when you want (floor it to make it downshift). Man that thing looks clean though!
No, but why do you need a go-fast intake on a car with a kids seat? Especially one that will never be able to go fast, you'll run out of road before that happens.

lets look at it this way if he has to rush the child to the hospital he wont have to wait on an ambulance i just hope his driving skillz are ok lol, but you have a very mint looking car sir keep it that way. MINT.
I have the same color 1995 Corolla. Yours looks so much better than mine. I was told that 3 speed transmission is very reliable. I have 78,000 miles on my rusty Corolla

Well, for one, it isn't a minivan and the boys are rarely in the car for more than 15 minutes. For two, I drive an 80 mile round trip commute at about 75 to 80 miles an hour. With a three speed auto, that intake does quite a bit for passing ability in the higher RPM range which I reside. Three, I'm a responsible adult so even if the car was a Corvette there still wouldn't be any screwing around with the kids in the car. Four, there is plenty of time to make it fast.
Thanks, everyone else, for the compliments.

So I've done a full tank of gas, from E to F and back to E. Averaging 30.2 MPG. Mainly highway miles with full A/C on. Loving it. The Cressida was only getting 16.
