gen 7 Is this possible?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if it was possible to remove the deck from my '93 corolla and just plug my ipod touch in to output to the speakers. My uncle removed the deck in hopes of fixing it a long time ago and if I can remember correctly, I saw a 3.5mm input. Either that, or my memory is foggy (very plausible).

No. The car's speaker wiring are speaker level. You won't get much volume if at all if you just hooked up your ipod there. You need a deck with aux in and an adapter harness.

What is the cheapest option for getting my ipod to output to the speakers? Because I still have to drop a lot of money on replacing all 4 blown speakers.

You could buy one of those FM transmitters. You just plug your ipod in and then tune into the station. There's a lot of well reviewed ones on Amazon.

Of course, the quality of the sound wouldn't be as good as if you installed an aftermarket deck with aux input, but it is cheaper and easier if you're not sure how to do all that yourself.

Er... You ARE kidding, right? Even the manual warns against using it while driving. =0!

What do you guys think of this combo? Will it work?

You're right bitter, and I did some more research and I think I found exactly what I need. Reviewers say that they're better than their factory speakers, but they still run for less than 20$ a pair for both. Please tell me these will fit and work =O

I used just an Ipod for about 2 weeks while I was getting a new stereo. I already had a system with amps though so it was easy to hook up a 3.5mm to stereo RCA jack. That would actually be quite convenient/ugly as an anti-theft thing. Do the speakers and an amp and just leave a plug in with a hole in dash. Between Pandora, Sirius App, I-phone/droid just plug into headphone jack and be done.

The speakers listed will be MUCH better than blown ones but for the most part Pyle is not highly regarded more like a PILE of _____.

Check Walmart also locally if all you want is real cheap replacement type stuff.

uh yeah earbuds in both ears is illegal, but super simple, cheap, and effective lol

Walmart does have good speakers and stuff, at least for a start. Best part is you can buy them all and take back the ones you didn't like!

As for front speakers, it is very easy to upgrade them from 4" to 5.25"
