Removing Electrical Pins on AE101 Lever/indicator assembly (pics)

Hi, I need to replace a part of this assembly which involves replacing some wires that went go into this electrical plug (which reads a65 84310-14600)

just wondering how I should go about taking the wires from this plug and feeding replacement wires from another lever assembly I have.

Pics of type of plug i'm talking about:

Cheers

Get a 1mm wide flat screwdriver from a precision screwdriver kit.
On the shell you should find some places where you can slip the driver into. Pry there to lift up an outer lock. Then in the first picture you see those plastic tabs. Find the wire you want to replace, stick driver in and while pushing down, pull the pin out from back.

They look similar to the connectors for the gauges. Here's what I wrote on my page:

Quote:
I decided that I could actually swap the wires in the connectors, rather than cutting and soldering. First, extract these plastic clips from the back of the connectors. These prevent the wires from coming out. Clearly, there are two clips in each connector. A small flat screwdriver will help poke/pry these out.

Then, take the small screwdriver and insert it in the back of the connector under the wire you want to pull out. It has to go in all the way, and it will click the metal tab holding the wire in place. Then the wire comes right out with force.

Whew, that was hard.... I almost got completely lost and screwed half way through, but I did figure it out and it worked. I taped up the wires after this so that it was clean. Insert the 2 clip things back into each connector.
