Help! Cracked Belt.

Just turned my car on this morning to a nice squealing sound. Turned it off, turned it back on, and then off again. After looking under the hood, I saw a cracked belt (the alternator belt?). Any help as to how much it's gonna run me, etc. just to help me get my bearings (and know if I can drive it) would be awesome.

I got mine replaced by a mechanic in 3 minutes for 75 bucks.

Shop around and you should be able to get it done for under a hundred. Or if you're a DIYer, you can rent a serpentine tool from Auto Zone, and the belt is about 20 bucks.

Sweet. Yeah, I got all three drive belts done today for $150. I would have done it myself but I have no garage and my street is busy.

The cost of labor here is about $100 an hour.....
