93 Corolla II ZS - Heater Panel light?

Hi Guys,

Been searching the threads for a while, but can't seem to find an answer, so hopefully someone can help.

I do a lot of K's in my little car, and love it to bits (155k now and going strong) - but one thing is driving me nuts! The Heater light keeps going off and on at night, and it's really distracting.

I'm OK with replacing the bulb, but how the heck do you get access to it?

Thanks

yeah that bulb has issues in older Toyotas lol.

Just yank the front panel off (remove the slider knobs) and then unclip the clear plastic thing behind it.

Thanks Christopher,

. . . . . so no clips or anything which will snap off if I give it a "yank"?

Do the sliders have screws underneath etc. or do they just pull off?

Difficult to get parts for these things in New Zealand, so I don't want to break anything!

Cheers
Steve

Each of the slider knob things pull straight off, no screws. The cover piece does just yank off. It has 4 clips, one in each corner. So pull on each corner.

He owns a Corolla II, which is basically a JDM hatchback version of the Tercel, so the set-up will be different to our 7th Gen Corollas. The way it is mounted with the clips will probably be the same however. Your best bet would be to check out the Tercel forum here at TN. You should be able to figure it out by looking at it. If you've removed any visible screws then you should just be able to pull it towards you to disengage the clips on the back
