I'd say get your car to look the cleanest possible (fix rust spots, change parts if you have to, new paint job). I always look twice at a Corolla any older than the late 90s that looks like new
yeah it need some work... been tryng to find someone who knows how to talk phillipino so i can order an fx gt bumper from this website i found that sales jdm corolla parts very cheap... but no luck finding anyone
There's plenty of accessories that not a lot of them had, OEM extras and such. Without touching the engine, there's still a lot of mods--body kits, lights, mirrors, etc that can happen on the outside, or little custom touches like gas hood shocks or a better horn. They'll take a wide range of rubber (*points to sig*) and suspensions, plenty of brake upgrades too. Keep up on maintenance, consider doing a wire tuck in the engine bay to be super-unique, keep up on having everything super-clean, enjoy the economy of your mini-Lexus.
As far as being down on power....thorough carbon cleaning, check your compression and ignition, fuel filter, consider getting your injectors flow-tested if they're original. You won't get much back if the engine's tired without doing some work to it...but the 7AFE's narrow valve angle lends itself well to low-boost turbocharging, as the folks over the 6gc message board (sixth-gen celicas) have found out. Best of luck, and keep repping that old-school sedan pride.
how much for that bumper??? iam looking for the fx gt bumper off an ae101 but ill get that one to if the price is right..... and ive been thinking about just doing a motor swap to a 3sgte or a 4age... so i can have a wider range of power...
i had a friend send it to me from okinawa and it cost me 300 bucks. ill sell it to you for 150 plus shipping. i looked and looked and looked for ever for a the fx bumper cover and my friend in okinawa couldnt find it either so i wish you luck.
look at sulit.com.ph it like a Philippines craigslist.... they have the bumper for sale.... alot of them... only problem is that i dont understand Philippine and i can find anyone that could
i ran into a problem... i put lowering springs on my car.. and it doesnt seem to be lower at all... did i do something wrong??? can i get any advise??
Brand new lowering springs typically take time to 'settle'. It'll take a few hundred miles before they're completely settled. By the way, be sure to take your car for a wheel alignment ASAP or else you'll chew your tires out
