My Prizm took a shit tonight on my way home from the club. I lost all power steering and my batt. light illuminated. At stops I could see/smell wisps of smoke coming from the hood. Under power of a Mag-Lite it appears something sprung a major leak underhood causing the belts to slip. Does anyone have any thoughts before I start digging into the problem?

Found it. The head of the bolt for the alternator belt tensioner snapped off so the belt lost all tension. That explains perfectly my problem. Back to the junkyard.

Hey man where in Houston are you located? Any junkyards you would recommend? I need to find one of those trunk garnish panels because mine got cracked and possibly also a PS pump.
