Question Identify this for me please

Hey guys,

I was refurbishing my starter today and during the process of reinstallation I snapped this thing:

It's connected to throttle body I believe. 4AFE engine.

Any of you guys know what this is?

Thanks.

EDIT: it's the tiny little tube thing that the left hand is holding. Not where the upper hand is pointing. It terminates onto a blue port thing which also has a similar tube going to something else (might be the fuel filter?)

It is a vacuum line connected to a thermo operated valve. I think it tells the engine to idle higher at start up or to idle down when the motor is warm. You need to repair that. Ive had success with superglue but only once. Try to remove it from the block (water behind it) and repair on a bench. Test by sucking on the other end of the hose to make sure it is sealed. I think it opens when its hot.

Same part on our 7A-FE was broken for at least 2 years or more, with the hose just hanging there. I found this thread on Yotatech awhile back and finally repaired it just like this guy did using a piece of aluminum tube (from a hobby store) and some JB Weld, back last November. I believe it's still working fine, and a whole heck of a lot cheaper than the $60+ for a new replacement part.

Thanks guys! I never even knew this part existed. I'll be doing a fix immediately.
