Exhaust leak at bottom of manifold

Our 7A-FE exhaust manifold has a leak at the bottom where it attaches to the pipe, just below the primary 02. It's making a black spot on the radiator and smells AWFUL whenever you're in the vicinity of the front of the car (especially if hood is open) while the engine is running.

I can't seem to find a replacement gasket for that spot anywhere, not on Rock Auto, parts stores websites, Toyota parts websites, nothing. Anyone know where I can get that gasket?

I guess you tried Ebay already, so this is what you can do. If you can make a template copy of the Gasket and get a machine shop to cut it out of copper or similar material then that will work. Oh and don't forget to also change the bolts aswell.

This is the gasket between the manifold and the pipe, not the manifold and the head. I think the gasket in that location is different than the multi-layer metal gasket between the manifold and the head.

I found the part on Toyota Parts East but it's $7 and another $12 to ship it. Might see if I can just get it local from a dealer for under $19.

yes i know the gasket you are refering to, the one between the header and the down pipe. It is eighter 2 holes or one hole gasket. On my header the Gasket between the header and down pipe was missing so the guys at the muffler center made a Gasket out of copper which would last a little longer. It was a suggestion to you if you was having trouble locating that gasket.

you have a 4-2 cast iron manifold with a 2 stud oxygen sensor? want to buy a used manifold and j-pipe? $20 and shipping. Let me know I think I still have mine. manifold, j-pipe are still bolted together. flex section is solid, no cracks in manifold.
