Fan Speed Switch

Hello, I have a 1997. I was replacing the radio, and when I went to put the bezel back on, I pushed the fan speed lever in some, so I tried to pull it back. I pulled to far, now it is loose. Did I break it? How do I fix it.
Thank you for your help.

Update - I messed with it a little on my lunch hour. The stick, came all the way out. I guess I am going to have to take it all apart this weekend, to see if I can put it back. It does not look like it broke, just came out.

I was able to fix it. I was able to push it back into the slot.

i'm suprised it pushed it in any, your talking about the metal piece that sticks out that the little plastic knobs slide onto?

I'm not sure honestly, I've never taken them apart to try to fix them, worse case a junk yard has a bunch cause they hardly get broken

It was the metal arm that sticks int the switch. It went in fine, and is working great.
If it breaks again I will go to the junk yard and get another one.
