distributor

ok here is the problem my 96 corolla has the 4fe and it was replaced with another but my distributor was stolen some or misplaced and i bought another for this engine it will start but then die start then die i look at the part and the distributor has 1 hole for mounting (not adjustable) with a 4 wire plug now my last distributor had 2 mounting holes with a sliding mount for adjusting but i cant find that distributor with the 4 wire plug and the adjustable base. the 95 and under comes with the 6 wire plug and a 2 wire plug with the adjustable (not for the engine with the cam sensor) my car has the cam sensor which needs the 4 wire plug i CONNOT find the distributor that i need. all the ones for the 96 corolla 4afe come with the 4 wire plug but with 1 mounting hole which is throwing my timing off! please some one help me o and my timing is right on. cam gear hole lines up with the notch on the head and the notch on the pully is in line with the 0 mark this is correct right?

i just did a compression check cyl. #1 200 and the rest are 175 i figured maybe there is a bent valve or 2 for that couldve been the reason for not running and all checks out good and holding the compression as well no slow leaks so im glad there is no bent valves so it looks like its in the timing issue timing marks are perfect and the new distributor is coming soon its the distributor with the single mounting hole maybe the electrics on the inside of the older distributor were shot the ignighter would that have anything to do with it stalling right after start up? thats mounted on the fender wall right cus the 95 and under have that mounted in the distributor 96-97 is on the fender wall and 98+ starts coil packs am i correct? o and i was wrong the original distributor had the single mounting base and the 95 and under and the adjustable mounting base we just took the older one and put the internals of the newer in it cus the bold was like welded on the old motor so we just rebuilt the other one that came on the new motor if that makes sense
