95 corolla/GEO stalls when given throttle, replaced fuel filter did nothing.

Well, I'm trying to fix my sisters car for her, basically it died on her in the parking lot. 1.6l 4cyl prizm, basically I checked if the pump was working, I confirmed it comes on as you can hear it when you turn the key, the car was not starting but I managed to get it to sputter to a start after about trying 8 times. It idles fine, but as soon as you give it any throttle it will choke and stall.

So today i changed the fuel filter, it did nothing, same exact problem. What should I replace next? Is there anything other than the pump that I should still check that it could be? Or should i just go and replace the pump?

Like I said it idles fine and smoothly. If you hardly give it throttle slowly you can get it to go up to redline smoothly while in neutral, but as soon as you give it any sort of throttle needed for driving, it chokes and stalls.

Have you checked fuel pressure on the fuel rail?
Should be better the 30psi.
If less could be fuel pressure regulator. IMHO
