Will 98-02 corolla sun visor fit in 93-97 corolla?

I see that a 98-02 corolla sun visor on driver and passenger side has a mirror with cover, while the 93-97 corolla only has a mirror with no cover on the passenger side. i know some geo and corolla le has mirrors on both sides, but the sun visor holder and the sun visor material sucks. Anyone know or tried to install a 98-02 sun visor into 92-97 corolla?

I tried using the sun visors from an 8th Gen Corolla a couple of months ago (as they were slightly taller) but the part that clips into the plastic piece on the roof (to allow you to position the visor parallel to the window) was in a different place. The mounting holes were in the same position however, so they would still fit, but it's just a pain that you can't click it into place, without modifying the sun visors at least. Probably not worth the effort just to have a cover over the mirror, lol.

I agree with Kiwi, I went to Pick n Pull and bought some out of a 98, the plastic parts are all designed the same and will screw in fine, but the placement of wear it pops in on the roof is off by a few centimeters! It sucks, I ended up returning them.

ok i did a lot of test and thinking on how to make the 8th gen corolla sun visor fully operate on 7th gen corolla. I do not know if anyone will do this, but I did not mind. I ended up cutting the plastic piece that goes on the roof in half so it will operate. That line you see in the middle of the plastic piece, you cut with a hack saw. Then you stop when you get through the half "u" looking thing then stop. Then go on the left side if you are installing it on the drivers side (and the right side if you are installing it on the passenger side) and cut it. You should be cutting it like a "7". I want to post pics up but it asks for a URL and not through my computer.

You need to upload the photos to an image hosting website such as PhotoBucket or ImageShack and paste the IMG code in here. Alternatively, you can upload them to TN's server by clicking 'Manage Attachments' on the advanced reply screen (the screen you see when you quote someone's post) or by uploading them to the photo gallery

Ok, here are the pics. I suggest using the 8th generation corolla sun visor plastic clip that goes on the roof because it has a latch to stick on and prevent it from popping off easily then using it.

Here you can see how i cut it. I used a hacksaw which was difficult to cut because its a big saw cutting something really small. I suggest using a grinder or something to cut the plastic piece to make it easier and quicker. As you can see i cut down the middle then cut on the left side (for driver side only, and right side for passenger side only). There will be trial and error when cutting. I suggest cutting it a little and try it, and cut some more to make it just perfect. If you cut too much first, you risk the sun visor not clipping it on well or breaking the clip when using it too much.

This is a close up picture.

I did not think it would work so i did not take pics of the step by step process when doing it, but the pic should explain it.

I have those too. I picked it out from a junk yard but the material sucks and the mirror glue came off the visor (driver side passenger is still ok) so it is hanging off the material. One is tan and one is gray. I also have the stock ones too.
