Found another spare/unused plug

Hi

Hey guys again, no this is not a repeat of the other post a few weeks ago this is a new one

Today i was installing a new rear tail light and I found a spare plug, really not sure what purpose it serves. Does anyone know what it is for or what is supposed to by connected to it? You might have it on your car and it was very easy to get to.

Some clues:
- My car already has a trunk/boot light installed.
- There is only one plug, it is not repeated on the other side.
- My car is right hand drive, fuel tank cap/filler is on the left side.

How many wires go into it? My guess would be trailer plug harness, patching into the brake/reverse/parker light wiring.

hmmm that could be what it is for. Six wires are running into this one. I have not checked if there is power going to the plug but its my guess that there is power for lighting.

I have also found another plug directly next the orginal plug. The black one has two wires.

6 wires sounds right for trailer:
Common ground
Brakes
Tail parkers
Indicate left
Indicate right
Reverse

Many of these cars are built using universal harnesses. I don't know what that plug is for though...

Thanks guys for the reply. I have the exact same black plug connected to my ignition as well, to the right of my steering wheel.
